Infants,Toddlers & Potty-Trainers
Creative Arts classes are all within the State Board of Health regulations for amount of children. We have a class of five infants (6 weeks to 12months), nine or less toddlers (12 months to 24 months) and nine or less potty-trainers (18 to 24 months).
In the Infant room, We only keep 5 infants. Parents are asked to bring a daily schedule for us to follow. Every day we send home a Taddler that shows the parents what their child had to eat, drink and how much. The Taddler will also show when the child had diaper changes and when he/she naps. Parents are asked to bring diapers, wipes, several changes of clothes and ointment to leave at day care in their cubbies. We return dirty clothes and bottles in their diaper bag at the end of each day along with their taddler. There is a refrigerator in the room to store their bottles and food. All bottles should be labeled with child’s name, given, according to parents instructions and/or their mothers are welcome to breast feed. Children are rotated every 30 minutes from their beds, to the swings, to the stationary jumpers, to the floor or bouncy seats. Children are held while they are being fed their bottles. Medicine is given but it has to be signed in, premeasured and information given to the teacher as to when it is to be given.
Toddlers and Potty-trainers are encouraged to explore their safe environment while singing, dancing, counting and going over colors and shapes in their books and with their educational toys. Potty-trainers have one workbook from the ABeka curriculum. Potty-trainers work hard on potty training.
The ABeka Book Christian Program (Two’s, Three’s and Four’s) provides students with an outstanding curriculum, built on a foundation of academic excellence and Christian character training. The ABeka Book Academic Program presents Mathematics, Reading, English, Science/Health and History that is age appropriate for each class.
The ABeka Book Bible Program presents the Bible in the narrative style in which it is written. It provides stories of the Old and New Testaments using the Gospels, Epistles and other portions of Scripture. The curriculum is designed to be specifically and systematically taught so that students in the Bible program will become thoroughly acquainted with basic portions of Scriptures.
The Bible stories are presented on large poster boards that will allow the children to see what the story is about. The three and four year old classes will have Bible verses to learn. The child’s teacher will send home each Bible verse card as they begin learn them.
Every day each class will have group time. During group time, teachers will read/discuss various children’s books and Bible stories, sing fun songs, Christian songs and say the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag as a class.
